Custom Habitat Scenes, Dioramas and Display Pieces
Habitat bases, full scenes, ice-fishing dioramas, antler chandeliers. If you have a picture in your head, Craig can build it.
Some mounts want more than a plaque. A walleye on a rock and driftwood base with moss and water effects. A perch display with an ice rod and a hole cut in the snow. A grizzly and wolf facing off on a full habitat scene. Craig builds the environment around the animal so the mount tells the story of where it came from.
Custom work also includes antler chandeliers and lamps, pedestal bases built to a room, and display pieces for lodges and businesses. Every project starts with a conversation about the space, the animals, and the look you want.
Custom pieces take longer than a standard mount and are quoted individually. Bring photos of the room and any reference images to the first visit.

How It Works

Consultation
Bring the animal or the idea. Craig sketches the scene, talks through size and materials, and gives a quote.

Base construction
Rockwork, driftwood, snow, water, foliage, and lighting are built by hand to fit the mount.

Mount and integration
The animal is mounted in a pose that fits the scene, then set into the base.

Delivery
Large pieces can be delivered or picked up. Craig walks you through placement and care.
Field Care Before Drop-Off
- Same field care as the animal type: keep it cold, keep it whole, keep the tags.
- Photograph the setting where the animal was taken. Those photos guide the base.
- Measure the space where the piece will live before the first visit.

Pricing and Turnaround
Every animal is different, so Craig quotes each mount after inspecting it at drop-off. Hide condition, size, pose, and base all change the work. Call the shop for a quote or bring the animal in.
A 50% deposit holds your place in the queue. Cash or check only. The shop works first-in, first-out and does not offer rush service. You get a specific completion month before you leave, and a call when the mount is ready.
